Château Lestéous is a charming property with breathtaking views of the majestic Pyrenees mountains. Here you can internalize your spiritual experiences from visiting the Lourdes Sanctuary and the region's many church treasures in an intimate, Christian and family atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Lourdes.
Enjoy the many original details of Château Lestéous. All rooms are spacious with high ceilings, some with magnificent stucco ornaments, artfully carved woodwork and the guest rooms are tastefully furnished in the style of the house. A large park invites you to relax, and stop off.
A park with roses, magnolias, palm trees, fruit trees, figs, chestnuts, cedars, plane trees and lime trees offers both plenty of space and space as well as retreat opportunities for meditation with panoramic views as well as relaxation in the shade of the magnificent trees. In the sense of responsibility for our creation, we attach great importance to biodiversity — so you won't find a “golf lawn” or a pool with us. Birds, insects and wild animals have plenty of habitat here.
Dating from 1880, Château Lestéous is located right on the small river l'Estéous in the former county of Bigorre. This is where the department of Gers meets the department of Haute-Pyrennées. A perfect symbiosis of lovely hills with viticulture, vast plains through the Adour river valleys and the mighty, snow-capped mountains of the Pyrenees.
From the estate, you have a direct view of the 'Pic du Midi (2877 m). In this direction, the Lourdes Sanctuary is just 36 minutes away. In just 45 minutes, you can reach the 'La Mongie' ski area on the flanks of the 'Col du Tourmalet', known as the mountain stage of the Tour de France. The Atlantic Ocean to Biarritz is only 150 km away, Spain is only 80 km away. The Spanish influence is also reflected in the annual tapas festivals, the paella stands at the markets and the summer tango festival in Tarbes, a culturally and economically thriving city just half an hour from here.
